I'm currently 1000 in rapid and I have the most trouble going up against 1. d4 players. What's a good way to get a sharp game against it?

The Dutch Defense, Old Benoni, and various Nf6 Benoni’s like the Czech Benoni and Modern Benoni. Also the Benko Gambit, which is yet another offshoot of the Benoni

Probably your sharpest responses are going to be the Modern Benoni and the Grunfeld.

maybe the lenningrad and regular dutch are "aggressive", but not the effing slav wall! it's like a straightjacket trying to get pieces active with pawns pawns pawns everywhere freakin' pawns!!!

for ME NOTHING is as aggressive as the hartlaub charlick gambit! OMG I love the semi open center (I dreamed of a "stupid gambit" that would do just that, but H/C is NOT stupid, just 2 points worse according to stupidfish, but man can you attack with it! the main line plans are really simple too. had I NOT got tripped up by unseen 2.c4 in my 10th game, i bet my stats would have been 7:3 instead of 6:4.

I love the bishop pair lined up on 0-0, the discovery threats on white's queen, the semi-open center, and just the MOBILITY

I WON'T be playing whatever I played against 2.c4 next time and am liking the STATS (if not the stonewall looking formation) of the Mikenas Defense: Lithuanian Variation which has only 2 replies with the "best one" being just 41:56 in 272k games!!! that's serious stats for MOVE 3. there has to be tactical poison in it with stats like that. so called "solid" lines rarely look different than 48:48 or something with a hige draws zone in the middle.

it LOOKS so ugly! I have to find SOMETHING to face 2.c4 with

It's like an 86% winrate with white.

If you're gonna play the Mikenas, be aware of this trap that loads of people blunder into. I've probably won 50 or more games like this.

I prefer the Old Benoni Defense (or any other variation of the Benoni) with the move 2... c5. Hanging Pawns has a great video on Youtube about the Old Benoni and an entire series over the Benoni if you are interested
