yeah but white gets a much easier flowing game while black just hides inside his little pyramid
you play the slav to win, not whatever the heck this wannabe london system is
If you want to try and play for a win against d4, you probably shouldn’t be playing into the Queen’s Gambit in the first place. The are much more aggressive ways to meet d4 that ensure you’ll be fighting for a win instead of just equality, such as the Dutch or Benoni
Even in terms of Queen’s Gambit variations, the Slav is fairly passive unless you want to play something like the Noteboom. You’re not typically going to play the Slav if you want to guarantee a chance at a win.
Plus the vast majority of the time you’ll get e3 instead of Qb3, which can be met with Nf6, essentially turning it into a Semi-Slav without a restricted light-squared bishop. Most Semi-Slav setups anyway share uncanny similarities with the London System anyway, although they tend to be more aggressive than when done by white since white’s c-pawn can be a target for an eventual queenside attack
In post #22 that is the Meikanas attack ( I hope I spelled that right?). The response by black is Nfd7. White can still not push e5. And black can continue with Na3. I forgot if 0-0 is reasonable at this time or not.
