Sveshnikov sicilian

white has tons of options and can avoid this easily, or he could deviate from the main line quite easily and you may be on your own, you also have to really know what youre doing in order to survive + you must be a tactical god

no

I played over 20 games with the shveshnikov and can confirm this is true.

as long as white follows theory hes better. if black tries to be special and play an early f5 hes typically near losing according to the computer

Probably the Sicilian because of how many variations and theory it contains.

not 0-0 or Qc7

youd rather cope with an attack?

computers cant agree with h4!? is any good, some say +0.8 and others say -0.2

but in a human view its the best testing move

the french structure is extremely solid and often the black king is very protected. Yet you go Kf8!?

the computer thinks it okay but its not great

Bro the lichess database says that after h4 black has a winrate of 54%. Are you telling me you defeated Kf8?

And after Qa4, Black is obviously better.

the london system

if that average player goes for the pyramid..Well black becomes preferable...

5.Bd3 is not an idea in that position, because then the bishop is just "biting on granite" due to black going into a position where the pawn is on g6. Main line is 5.Be2.
Also, 8.dxc5 looks awful, why would white do that? That's just giving black the center with an eventual ...e5. Just castle instead.

Are you defending the london?!?!?!

Yes. The London is a great opening, and contrary to popular belief, it can actually be played exciting and aggressive if played a certain way (usually with early g4 pawn pushes).

Wow that is a thing? I though the london is like super passive and gives up the initiative for no reason

Gotham said the London was trash lol.

Of course he does, He is a bad youtuber telling people to play dubious crap like the traxxler or ponziani steinitz or milner barry!!!!!

I can say for sure that in your rating range everyone playing the Millnwe Barry gambit will be winning 100% of the games against you

Many masters and me consider the London trash but the jobava rapport system is what you should play if you like the London
