What is the ideal amount of openings for white and black?

Having one opening for each color is pretty tough. So far I have been able to cope with it but the farther I continue in my chess journey the harder it will get especially in over the board games. People will start to realize I only play one opening and suddenly it will become super easy to prep against me. Part of me wants to work on another weapon but I’m not sure what to play. Would love to hear everybody’s takes.
