It's not really that deep, it's a simple question.

OP the answer is the queen's gambit and the Ruy lopez as white. the Nimzo-Indian and Morphy defence as black.

If you go to https://lichess.org/analysis#explorer and click on the moves you can see the frequency of each move/opening.

Finally, someone calls out these wannabe deep replies.

OP, keep in mind that the most often played opening changes quite a bit due to trends; the tarrash defense was mocked for a while but then made a resurgence at the top level. The italian also made a considerable comeback. Additionally, the Sicilian used to be the most popular opening at the master level by far.

I guess what the poster meant by Nimzo/QGD, is you can only play the Nimzo if white plays 3Nc3. If white plays 3 Nf3, you can play the Queens Indian. However, you can transpose to the QGD either way. So one approach is to play the Nimzo to Nc3 and QGD to Nf3.

Hi

soniadallariva

Hi everyone, I need your help, I want to do a birthday present and this person is passionate about chess. I wanted to take a chessboard and turn it into a hanger and I would like to set the pieces in a particular formation that I remember this person telling me about, I just don't remember the name of it!

I only remember that it was a kind of stalemate in which the victory percentages of one of the colors were at 0, any move could have been made with the pieces in possession (sorry for my ignorance in advance).

can someone help me?

Thanks in advance and again sorry for my ignorance!
