i like 3...d6 stuff. there is actually quite a few things you can do with that. For example 4.c3 f5!? is fascinating, but black also has bg4 stuff in some lines (e.g 4.0-0 bg4),, as well as transpositions to be7 lines which are good drawing weapons (which resemble something between a hungarian defense or a philidor depending on how black plays it) and of course g6 stuff as well. Lots of unexplored stuff but sound

I have played both side of Italian and generally like to play giuco piano for more complex game and two knight defense for very tactical  and unbalanced position even from move 4
