What is your opinion on the Benoni defense?
Im not talking about the computer evals or whatever. I'm talking about practicality. The positions are sooooo much easier to play from the white side that it's almost insane. Also regarding ChessEnthusiast48 saying that in the diagram I provided that white is only "slightly better" I would have to disagree. Anyone looking at that position can agree white is much better.
Now you're offering us a judgement call (or perhaps a misjudgement call) that is NOT borne out by the practical results of more than 500 tournament games.
Not Stockfish analysis... tournament games between live Human players.

At the starting position of the modern benoni, according to the lichess masters database, the ehite win percentage is 41% while black's is 26%

The stats "at the starting position" include lines that are not played anymore. Lines that have been abandoned.
You have to be very careful when using "database stats" to support an argument.
Here's an example from the Petroff Defense.

There is not even a "starting position of the modern Benoni". The current trend is playing ...e6 after ...d6, ...g6, ...Bg7 and ...0-0.
you make a point I guess I will start at the beginning of the arguably most critical line in the modern benoni. That does still get played.
Here the eval is around +0.8 and white wins 45% of the time while black wins 23% of the time.

so this isn't the start?
In the Benoni, I'd always advocate for the Knight's Tour as White from the anti-Nimzo move order.
