What openings do people use? I use the reti and French. Thoughts?

As White? King's Indian Attack. Sometimes 1. e4 instead.
As Black? Sicilian Najdorf vs e4, King's Indian Defense vs d4.
When white I use the repertoire book Keep It Simple 1 e4 (first edition). Except instead of just the Two Knights against the Caro Kann I'm also playing the Exchange, and in the Four Knights I'm not just playing 4 d4 but also using 4 g3. Pretty much keeping strictly to the book's repertoire against all other defenses.
When black I play the 3....Qa5 Scandinavian against 1 e4, using the repertoire book The Scandinavian for Club Players. Against 1 d4 I use the repertoire book Fight 1 d4 with the Tarrasch.

People use all openings. Even the really bad ones.
