Center variation, like JUST LOCK DOWN THE CENTER
What opening do you hate facing the most?
The French exchange. I face it 90% of the time. I think people play it to avoid theory. But it is the exact opposite.
Any exchange openings normally are boring, I know how you feel man!
I dont know... I've gotten sharp games from it as Black. It's a semi-open symmetrical position. I have the book Attacking Chess: The French by Simon Williams. Williams claims that because it's such a symmetrical position the better player will usually win.
One way to spice things up that I wouldn't recommend is for White to play c4 or Black to play c5. It makes things more dynamic, but the side that plays the move will end up with an isolated pawn.

Alright thanks for the insight man, I like dynamic positions so il check it out !!!
Being black in these moves is very painful becuase you can't castle in black. So I just don't try new openings.

thats why you dont play 2. e5 there? should be playing nf6 or nd7 in the Pirc
Something like this opening. Happens with someone who doesn't know the fork trick.
Doesnt work there
you're just down a piece after that

apparently my opponent did the exact moves (he was black) and I ended up winning. It was a blitz game

If you want to do fork trick never do Be4 before the trick

well yeah but you put that position in there and said to do the fork trick
I don't like the Four Knight Game. Ugh. So draw-ish due to the symmetry and especially annoying if I'm the Black pieces and the higher rated player. I'm trying to press for more than a draw in a pretty equal position.
Note: I like the Four Knights Scotch Variation, but the regular Four Knights isn't something I like to see come up.
