Hal-low-een! Hal-low-een! For the win! For the win!

Halloween gambit? I don't think white would score many points in that tournament.
On top level I mean ofcourse, not a chess.com tournament, but see some of the famous grandmasters battle it out in the Kings gambit would be very exciting.
I'd like to see a King's Gambit themed tournament at the highest level as well. At chess.com, that'd be interesting, but the Frankenstein-Dracula variation seems awesome, coming out of the Vienna Game~!
weve had tons of sicilians before, but can we get it so the type of sicilian changes each round? that would be fun
High level grandmaster tournament? How about the Dutch? Or how about an Open Game (1. e4 e5) tournament where the Ruy Lopez and Petroff were banned, but they could choose anything else?
Here at chess.com, I could go along with a Halloween Gambit tournament. Or Latvian Gambit, Elephant Gambit, Blackmar-Diemer Gambit, Evans Gambit, Alapin Gambit, Smith-Morra Gambit... Just about any gambit except King's Gambit. That's so overplayed.
I'd like to see anything that's a little (or a lot) dubious, with the added rule that nobody knows beforehand what the line will be, so the games are played without preparation.
Somewhat influenced by looking at the Sicilian theme match between Kaidanow and Hungry Polgar. What opening theme tournament or match would you like to see?
I'd kill to see a Kings gambit theme tournament, would be really exciting to see strong players trying to find improvements in old lines, new ideas, some quiet ways of playing the kings gambit, etc. Maybe see Ivanchuck bring out the old Kings bishop gambit again.
Sorry but King s Gambit has been totally refuted.

Totally refuted?
Please, go swim in a lake of acid.

I agree that your suggestion of the King's Gambit would be good. There is a surprising amount of scope for new analysis not that many moves in.
"Sorry but King s Gambit has been totally refuted."
Did you make that up all by yourself or are you just seriously misinformed? If you are correct then there is a whole swathe of GM's who don't know what you have discovered (Short, Gallagher, McDonald spring to mind)... perhaps you ought to send them your analyses, I'm sure that they'll be eternally grateful for such masterful insight.

My thought exactly before reading his post--or the Evans Gambit. It wouldbe good for players looking up what ancient masters did in their games with these openings!
