Im at that point like everyone else once was lol.
I am positional so youd think d4!
But i love the positions i get from white when im playing against the caro kann, french, petroff, scandanavian, and 1...e5.
But ive been playing d4 for about 6 months exclusevly. With OKAY results.
I love playing against the slav, Queens gambit declined, albin, chigoran, queens gambit accepted, Kings indian defense.
I hate playing against the pirc and these other weird russian systems against e4 like double fianchetto and all that.
I hate playing against the nimzo, gruenfeld, and the benoni set ups.
I have no problem playing against the sicilian because i am a former sicilian player and no my fair share of theory and which lines i prefer.
Whatever i pick i wills tudy increasingly in depth, and i always try to get an advantage out of the opening.
So what do you think i should play? what is my "taste"? Feel free to ask me any questions but this is a big turning point for me because i have tournaments coming up and need to start preparing because i love studying openings.
Also the other two openings i play are 1...e5 and Kings indian attack set up against any other kind of opening.
