Here's a come-from-behind game of mine that didn't involve a one-move terminal gift (like my earlier post):
What was your most dramatic come back in chess like?
Why you should always watch for tactics:
I often feel kinda bad for playing on in these totally lost positions, but then those things happen. What to do?
Oh, my last annotations didn't save. a2 already allowed the mate, but I didn't notice it at first and was trying to set up another one, but then my opponent gave me the opportunity again.

In all of the "dramatic comebacks" that have occurred in my recent games, I've always been on the receiving end.

Recently I won a game against 2002 I should have won, but didnt deserve to. There was a combination Qf5+ Kh3 Rf5 which won and opponent set conditional moves for that. I missed this combination and played only Rf5. My opp. resigned in completely equal position.

Here's a game I played a couple of days ago. It definitely isn't my most dramatic comeback, but I really liked it. I was getting completely beat up until move 33, when I started making threats to my opponent's King. My opponent didn't respond accurately over the next couple of moves, giving me the chance to make a swift comeback ending in a nice mating net.

I've posted this game before, but it's worth another look because it's a pretty dramatic comeback.
I totally overlooked my opponent's threat of Nxg5... but fortunstely, there was a very strong answer available, and I managed to find it.
Maybe Carlsen could post here his experience about Candudates... :)
