Well against Italian Game : Knight Attack I used the Polerio Defense which is risk free as well as good. Traxler is not that much liked by me tho.
If I am white I will always opt for Fried Liver.
And there is no way you can Fried Liver me cuz of Polerio Defense

White: Scotch opening. (Don't like Ruy-Lopez, so since playing this.)
Black: Scandinavian defense. I like tactical lines in Scandy, but there are also boring and passive lines where I can easily have problem.

I like Queen's Gambit and French Defense, cuz i love the position in those 2 opening.
London for white.
Caro Kann for black.

I am not a strong player, the openings I usually use are the Ruy Lopez, Italian game, Scotch game for King's Pawn openings and for Queen's Pawn opening I usually play Chigorin variation with Nc3 as second move... Playing as black, depending on the oponents opening I usually chose between Queen's Gambit denied, Petrof Defense and I also practice ( with a limited success ) French defense, Pirc defense, Caro - Kann defense. To put it simple, I like to experiment with various openings and defences...

Two Choices? PFFFFFFT! Screw that! One opening says it all!
French Defense! Don't care if I'm Black or White. Why? Because I understand the positions from pretty much every line, from the piece activity in return for the IQP for Black in the Open Tarrasch to the blocked positions of the Advance, McCutchen, or Winawer.
Now, I'll only play 3.Nc3, 3.e5, or the King's Indian Attack as White. I refuse to play the Tarrasch or Exchange - will only play those as Black, but which of the other 3 I play depends on my mood at that time!
There is no better opening out there! Give me 100 games with 50 Frenches as White and 50 Frenches as Black and I'm a happy camper!
White this, Black that???? PA-LEEZ!
