Where to start?

My needs are minimal: I just need serious work on openings, middle game, and endgames - with special attention to tactics and position (perhaps some study of pawn structure would help as well). I am looking to openings first, and need to understand on a yeomans level the stengths and weaknesses of

After looking at the two games Loomis posted, my suggestion would be for you to put up more of a fight. In the first game, when you probably realized your queen was trapped, you would have still been materially ahead after giving up your queen for his bishop & rook and losing the exchange on his bishop for your rook. In the second game you resigned after only losing a pawn. That game was far from over at the sub-1000 level.

watch the videos mate, taught me everything i know. also play turn based games. easier to keep track of what you're up too, an not blunder so much
