Budapest gambit (black)

Evans gambit (white)

Ursurov gambit (white)

I had never heard of the Urusov Gambit and it's win rate is not that bad. Seems dangerous.

basicly a weapon to draw the russian player out of therory and avoid the drawish game

Dont need a game bit. Just the nimzowitsch variation

Budapest and Benko and Albin not so good in my opinion. Also Smith Morra not so good RIP Ken Smith my friend.

The Budapest isn’t much of a gambit and it’s not great either as in the main lines White gives back the pawn to reach a pleasant position with two bishops where they are practically playing for two results. The Benko is decent but in its pure form I believe there are some lines where White is just a bit better. The Morra is not good, I think the question is whether Black has the better side of equality or more. Personally, I just transpose to the Alapin myself as I don’t see any reason to earn tons of theory for a sideline and it’s just easier to play a less sharp game against a gambiteer. The Morra is just some tricks.

How is the Morra "refuted"? Could you post the mainline?

not so good, never said "refuted". And I have to agree with ponz here. Like the Blackmar-Diemer, it's relatively easy for black to set up defensive positions against white's piece activity.

Which variation are you talking about? Rubenstein Nbd2 line or Rubenstein Nc3 line?

The Morra might not be the best, but it still seems kinda dangerous, or else why would Anand refuse to accept it and still lose?

But what makes me think it might be dangerous is the fact that a world champion refused to accept it. If it was easy to convert the advantage he could have simply taken the pawn, right?

he was probably afraid of piece activity and didn't want to be put on the defensive for a long time (because that's what happens with piece activity)

but I don't really know, the position in the smith-morra just seems "suspicious"

Preusseagro   You mention you have no problems breaking the defensive position 0f black.  Do you mean in the Smith Morra Gambit??  What was the strength of the players you played??

Well, I beat a GM in a USCF rated tournament with this line--Goring Gambit 2 pawn sacrifice...
