Which Sicilian Defense (for Black) should I study and make part of my repertoire?

Your Sicilian choices

Najdorf- Lots of theory and difficult to understand, but hard for White to beat if you defend well

Sveshnikov- A decent choice but there are some lines where Balck has to suffer (like the line where White takes on f6 before Be7 and plays 13.Nxb5 sac)

Kan- Solid, Flexible, but a big space disadvantage

Taimanov- Similar to Kan but more space and less solidity

Rauzer- Minimal theory but accepts some suffering to hold a draw

Pin- Bad

Scheveningen- Hard to play these days as 6.g4 gives white good chances

(Hyper) Accelerated Dragon- Decent and fairly solid but you need an excellent understanding of the Maroczy Bind.

Dragon- The one I play; Not solid, highly theoretical, crazy, but I believe Black can hold everywhere like the Najdorf if they know a ton of theory

Side note on the Dragon:  Make sure you look at the Yugoslav Attack as it is perhaps the most critical test of the Dragon.

The 9 0-0-0 line is the most critical test, though the 7 ... bd7 line avoids it.

@asparaguistic... what a lot of warm, fecial air... Kan is a great option. Cramped for a while, but then counter punch. Scheveningen can be played early a6... or learn Keres attack. Pin can transpose. If you wanna try Dragon or Nadjorf... a few months basement lock... will help you learn Some of the lines.

The Kan is just bad, here is why:

6...Be7?! - There is a reason that 6..Qc7 (most popular), 6..Bb4, or 6..d6 are the most popular moves in the position (and by that, I mean there are 3600 Qc7 games, 2000 d6 games, and 2000 Bb4 games in the Mega Database - there are a grand total of 5 games with Be7 in that position).

It is pretty common to avoid developing the dark square bishop in that line until White has committed to f3 instead of f2-f4.

Like I saying... @acid talking some warm air. Most any opening have a bad line. Kan, paulsen be good for club player braw.

The maroczy bind refutes the hedgehog, the same way the Yugoslav refutes the dragon.

Never play the sicilian when death is on the line.

"Chess Structures:  A Grandmaster Guide" by Mauricio Flores Rios, Chapter 10.  You may want to read it.

You’re completely wrong on both. Dragon can’t be refuted no matter how much you keep saying “But the Yugoslav” and “Sac, Sac, and Mate” Also, I think you are underestimating Black’s chances in the Kan/Hedgehog. Black may be cramped, but can achieve counterplay and has no clear weaknesses for White to attack.

I play the dragon myself, I was mocking the players who believe that the dragon is refuted by the Yugoslav.

He was deflecting his previous nonsense by misquoting something I said in another thread.  He firmly believes he has "no problems" against the Yugoslav despite White scoring 70% in the 100+ games he played in that line over the last year.

LOL.

That account is less than 2 weeks old and you have played exactly 4 games in the Dragon Variation.  On the year old account you closed a month ago:

You did not score so well ... in the 100+ games you played in the variation.  But yes, I'm sure you were 900 in January 2019 and are now over 2000 and have learned how to refute the Yugoslav Attack better than Korchonoi.

I could destroy you in the dragon.

I'm sure the AsparagusicFish or LeeAsparagus would do quite well against me.  You sitting down OTB with no "bathroom" breaks ... not so much.

An_asparagusic_acid

1) I always go to the bathroom on my opponents turn.

2) After 87 rated blitz games I am 2056 on lichess

3) My games quality are not engine level. Here is an example my playing level when I win(I was white):
