Yesterday I was playing chess when I decided to look for new openings as black that fits my playing style. The game went like this.
1.e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. a3 b6 4. Bc4 Bb7 5.d4 f5 6.Bf7+ Kxf7
This was the second time this happened to me, but I still fail to see what strategic value white can gain from sacrificing the bishop. I considered 7. Ng5+ Ke8 8. Qh5+, but I didn't know where to go from there, and there is only a slim chance that black King would go to e8.
