Yes, I know chesspub, I'm a member there. I don't enjoy it really, too much openings' blah-blah and engine output, too little chess. Only ICCF players might find chesspub interesting.

I know. That's what I found funny, and I agree in spirit, that claims, if not even of the complete refutation, but just of the unsoundness of 1. e4, call for a thread lock-down.

There is a line in the Alekhine Defense: 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Ng8. I've seen GM games with this move in DBs, so I'm sure there is some theoretical validity to the idea. But IMO, if black can win, or even draw, with this, there's something wrong with chess......
2... Ng8 has 7 wins,3 draws.
