It's amazing how many players can't see even one move ahead.

White played extremely badly in those games, wasting time with Qh5 and Be2. Black can play any move and will be completely equal.

There's a similar "trap" in the bird's opening.

I don't see why it would be "nitpicking". I had every reason to believe that no person who knows it's named after a person would write "the bird's" .
