Yes, you have to wait. Stare at the screen with your hands on the keyboard. Don't sleep or you might miss the move.

It's not that bad, you are allowed to sleep, just turn up the volume. It makes a ping noise when he moves, that should wake yoy up.

Perhaps your greeter to the site is busy with work or school.

I've sent you a game challenge to welcome you to the site. Although i am busy alot of the time, i will try to move more than once every 24 hours :)

 Yes, indeed.

And my suggestion for the site is to (like the Live Chess section), add 'move sounds', so that we know promptly about a fresh move (in case we'd turned our head away for a moment).

ps.  Suspecting, that sitting waiting for the moves during an "online game", is the #1 reason for online chess not being tried here by so many chess.com members.

Thankfully, some of them discover the Live Chess section, where games are not quite so challenging to one's patience.

@multihead -

I have to admit I've been less than polite and helpful.  I apologize. Kohai and sftac are on the right track. Maybe you want to play "live chess" and not "on-line chess".

But either way, please don't lose your sense of humor. Smile
