Does anyone have any information on chess clubs in or around Pittsburgh, PA. I’d love to get in contact with some fellow chess enthusiasts.

You are in luck.  One of the absolute best clubs in America is in Pittsburgh: the Pittsburgh Chess Club.  Unfortunately, it is dying due to its shrinking player pool.  I highly recommend playing in their tournaments or going for casual play and becoming a member.  They are on Solway St. in Squirrel Hill, which is quite walkable from CMU.

Milliern, thanks for the recommendation! I just went in today and signed up and played a few games and signed out some books. I appreciate it a ton

You are welcome.  Who was there?  Peter or someone else?  Are you going to play tournaments there?

Pittsburgh has a special place in my heart: my first OTB tournament was at the YMCA in downtown Pittsburgh in 1970. I lost my first two games and then won the next three, taking home the prize for top unrated. Glad you found the club, @al-CIA-da. (btw, clever screen name, and all too true.)
