I have either liem or ding winning this but if wesley upsets the competition and somehow wins I think it would be the breakthrough he needs to hit the 27xx rating.

- GM Le Quang Liem (Vietnam) - Defending champion & #1 in Vietnam
- GM Ding Liren (China) - 3-time and reigning Chinese Champion & #2 in China
- GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France) - Former World Junior Champion & French Champion
- GM Csaba Balogh (Hungary) - Member of the Hungarian National Team
- GM Wesley So (Philippines) - #1 in the Philippines & Webster University freshman
- GM Georg Meier (Germany) - European Team Champion & Webster University sophomore
pretty nice lineup. Ding Liren has been on a roll as of late, defending champion Le has always played solid chess, and you can never count out the young Frenchman. Wesley So can be a sleeper pick if he decides to put away the drawmaster title, even for just a little while.
