Perhaps there has been some confusion regarding the rule that if there are 50 consecutive moves without a capture or a pawn move then the game is a draw. Even if one side has more material, if there are no pawn moves or captures then they are just shuffling their material around aimlessly so it's a draw. You can't win by having more material, you win by checkmate.
