Bullet frustrations?

My bullet rating is fairly terrible compared to every other format I play. I find myself getting extremely frustrated, and frankly smack talking these players I’m losing against at this rating since I have some weird idea in my head I should be beating them. I’ve studied the game quite a bit now, but I still need time to think.

Part of the frustration lies in the fact that I don’t think bullet is a good format at all. It seems like the death of all good chess ideas reside there. I’m not sure why I even play it other than I can get a quick game in. This is more of a rant I guess, wondering if anyone else gets where I’m coming from.

I think it all has to do with your playing style – as well as a good internet connection and a responsive mouse.

For me, I excel at bullet over other time controls, and I enjoy it regularly. Of course it's different from standard chess and dirty tricks and speed patzers will always be part of bullet chess.

All in all, if you don't like bullet chess, then simply don't play it!
