Whoa! Proknight, how come PrawnEatsPrawn has disappeared from the list.

I worked hard on the nomination.

I guess you've found an enemy.

Dear Both,

I enjoyed the nomination and appreciated the sentiment but after losing a close final (to Alan Tudor) way back in the fourth contest, I've discovered that I prefer to snipe from the sidelines.

I'm flattered but "no thanks". Kiss

For some reason the air has suddenly cleared in this forum and in many others.

Much better, and please don't revert back to the diaper service.

What happened?

Someone was kind enough to remove all of the spoiled fruit and prohibit the culprit from dumping any more.

This must be what Preparation H feels like.

Wow! This is a chess.com first, to have the comments removed, without closing the account.

TheGrobe
It's at least a second.

I don't think it's a good idea to get checkmateibeatu mad. No telling what could happenSurprised

It wouldn't bother me one bit if we never spoke of him again. It would also really drive the point that he actually did bring everything on himself home.

I fear if he wanted to, he could post 100 comments in 10 minutes! He would be like an army! He is just having his fun on the forums now, but if he gets mad...Surprised

  • I would like to nominate brad413 for being my first game on chess.com (1). I just noticed that I was his only game on chess.com (oops?). Sadly, this nomination does not pass the Lenny test, so I will not make this nomination.
  • I would also like to nominate jawadhf for being my first loss on chess.com (2). Sadly, this nomination also does not pass the Lenny test, so I will once again refrain.
  • I will nominate AirRinus because this game was a heck of a fight (3). I didn't really get the nerve up to analyze it with a computer. Some stones are best left unturned.

And to think he didn't believe us when we told him some members were not allowed to post in the forums. Laughing

So, that's it?  The mods took out all of the posts without actually closing the account in question? I didn't know that they could do that. I always thought they went hand in hand. Even though this is the most I have posted in public in a long while, it's good to breathe the clean air again and not lurk behind the scenes getting upset about the chaos going on around here.

It was a two-way street. Checkmate was singled out for nothing but posting a lot. There were others that followed him around and harrassed him just as much as he seemed to annoy them.

Waiting till the end to vote... then i can vote for  "who care's" ...Laughing

Cystem_Phailure

You can't vote until the end of the month anyway-- the first 3 weeks or so are just nominations.

What, you're buying his tracker theory?  Considering he had the people he accused of this blocked, how do you suppose they "followed him around"?

You're kidding me right? For about six weeks the forums were filled with people just waiting to pounce on his every word. They enjoyed it. He enjoyed it. They both thought they were doing the community a service. He thought he was standing up to bullies at first, then he must have enjoyed the battles so much that he became a self-imposed moderator. He looked for fights as much as his "bullies" did. To single out checkmate as the sole perpetrator of the last six weeks, is an error.

theoreticalboy

No no, I'm asking how you justify the claim of 'following him around,' given that it was pretty much impossible for those he had blocked to do so.
