I just wanted to point out atudor blocked me for the above. I'm kind of shocked, really: at least Windows could point to the numerous legitimate insults I threw his way. Or, he could if he wasn't so stupid (sorry, can't help myself!)

Well, I don't know how to prove it. But that was way back before assassin came on the scene.

The reason most members stay away from forums like this is because a small group of members that don't even seem to play much chess. Come into the forum and post a bunch of spam nonsense, rude comments, and off topic dribble. This small group of misfits ruin it for members that come to the forum for the actual purpose of the forum. So your right most of my friends have class, they don't spam forum posts, and when on forums try to stay on point. SO this group of misfits ruin it for members who would like to participate but will not put up with all of this dribble."

Ok, I'll accept that.
And as I said before, I'm sure you are a valuable member in your groups. And if these groups want to honour you in some way, that's fine with me, but this is not the place.
I'm also in a lot of groups, and there are people in those groups who work their butts off. But they never or rarely post here, so this is not the place to reward them.
As long as the large groups use their muscle to manipulate members who never particpate here to come just to vote, I will have a problem with the format. I guess I see these forums as an informal group in itself, you gain membership by participating. Coming just to boost a friend, and then disappering into the wild blue younder after that, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Sorry to hear that. Its just a little disconcerting to see that kind of stuff when you read about identity theft and all the crazy things that happen as a result of internet usage. I have friends who were in Viet Nam, and some of them have issues, though less severe. It's a crime that we don't do a better job of honoring and paying our veterans.

this is my biggest problem. until a few weeks ago atudor, most of us forum junkies had never heard of you or your cronies. i guess we're being a bit territorial. and i admit i've been jerky about that, as have others. but dude, your shit stinks just like the rest of ours.
