Which chess players are famous mainly because of a game they lost?

Some who come to mind:

  • Lionel Kieseritzki (agains Adolf Anderssen)
  • Stepan Levizki (against Frank Marshall)
  • Gersz Rotlewi (against Akiba Rubinstein)
  • Curt von Bardeleben (against Wilhelm Steinitz)

Then again, I have probably ignored some notable games that these players had won...
