Female here!  Have 2 admit I haven't met many females on here so thought I would leave a wee message :)

I'm a girl too. But hey-what's the big deal? She's a girl, he's Spanish, someone else believes in ghosts, and another one supports anarcho-capitalism.

We all love chess. That's what brings together people who are otherwise different, and it's really the only thing that matters on this site-chess.

I've seen a thread about this before and I just don't get it-I'm a girl, I'm a minority on chess.com. And?

I think that this was posted to reckognize that there are women out there who enjoy playing chess, but sometimes they're not easy to find. It's nice to know that you're not alone or strange for enjoying things most others around you do not. I'm female and really like chess and proud of that and am glad that someone has posted a forum that allows me to express that so easily.

I'm a girl (I assume you mean just a female, but I am also a female minor). Billion_Tactics_Boy thinks he can't be beaten by a female (see http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/i-have-never-been-beaten-by-a-girl-yet) and he is a 15-year-old boy according to what he says, so I am playing him currently, but if there is anyone else who thinks they can beat him, please feel free to dicuss it on the forum and play him.
