I think there are a lot of people who aren’t that familiar with the chess scene who might actually believe it. Once, when I told somebody that I played chess, they asked me if I had heard of the chess grandmaster that cheated with anal beads. I had to explain to him that it wasn’t true.

The interview was clearly done for views, with Piers' focus all on the one odd and controversial topic.
Why does Hans still go to these interviews to defend himself against people who oppose him? He's clearly getting very worked up! I think it's time he leaves this all in his behind (or is it, "all in his past" 
) and moves on! 
Hans choosing to attend this interview was a huge blunder - he came out looking bad, given how he answered questions on his past cheating "someone had an iPad"
Hans displayed zero shame or remorse for his cheating in the past. In trying to show the difference in seriousness of cheating OTB vs online he just made it appear that he doesn't consider cheating online as wrong. It seems that Hans fans think Hans looks good from this, but people who were on the fence have a worse impression of Hans after this interview.

Yeah, that was super creepy. An old man who doesn't stop asking an underaged about s*x toys.
Piers Morgan has never lied or stolen more than once in his life just like the other hypocrites who ignore all the titled players who have been caught cheating (many in the top 100 in the world) on chess.com but choose to focus on one player who happened to beat Carlsen in an over the board game who was himself butt hurt and quit the tournament like a spoiled child. Anyone who runs with the obvious joke of "anal beads" should be banned for stupidity or if nothing else being a sexual pervert.
