@Ozzie's posts have that same organge (or light yellow) color as that guy's pants.

Looks like a pattern is forming.  Call in the forensic team.

Being a Dutchman, ( but with English-speaking relatives ) I also try to translate the question, apart from answering it.   I like playing with words, so I hope it will form a similar question in another language, e.g. Dutch. The point is, in Holland we do not say that we play chess (  although you can say that  )   but we just say  "we chess"  in Dutch : " wij schaken ".  So I think the joke or solution or just the answer on the question can not be translated as such.  We will see...   By the way, yes, I have played and still play chess, for over 60 years now !

Math0t

Yeah we got a verb for "playing chess", cool huh? Cool

bronsteinitz

Yeah, but what you forget to mention is that it also means abducting.. "Iemand schaken" means "abducting somebody". In my opinion there are more people that say in Dutch that they play chess than there are people that say that they chess...

60 years?  That is a lot of chess.

I couldn't find any gifs of tulips, so here you go - are those windmills going the same speed or is this some kind of Dutch optical illusion?:

That must be flamish I guess, as I never heard of anyone using the literal translation of "play chess" in Dutch.

So maybe I should have said: I never played chess, but I tried to chess Wink

Annabella1

I tried also

netzach

I played cheese.

Talking about penguins and kangaroos distracts the mind a bit from the original question by George1st, and I still hope to get his solution soon, is it an English language joke, a word with a double meaning or even an Australian word ?  Than : Bronsteinitz is right with abducting, "schaken" is a kind of kidnapping, especially by violence, and : girls or women...  I agree with MathOt that in Holland we say "we schaken" and not we play chess, but having relatives in Belgium, I will check this phrase!   Finally, my over 60 years started in schooltime when I was 14 in 1948 and now I am 78, so still "going chess", although not at night in clubs anymore, the site  chess-dot-com is great for this purpose!  And : HighNoon52, thanks for the windmills, they have the same speed ( I counted over 100 revolutions...)    Regards all of you,  RomyGer

Yes, once. I was a knight and she was the queen. We ended up in this unusual position where we both checkmated at the same time.

I won't post the diagram, I feel it might go against the rules :P.
