How?
I'd like to get a high rating to but sometimes it seems pointless.... does anybody know if there is any way i can play in a "membership" tournament online? is there any way around the membership fee?

You can have blitz rating without paying for subscription.

Quite easy for a high rating get a chess application and play longer games, lurking while playing.
In the end you won't get happy doing so, you had only a high rating but still the same little brain.
I am not sure about rating, but I can show you how to get high. At least that gets you way halfway there.

To get a high rating u need to play for years trying every day to learn something of new.Results will come with time!
