--- Thanks for the new posts.
Game 8 is indeed a Draw ( in 33 moves ). Carlsen = W & Anand = B.
Game 9 is won by Carlsen ( Amand = W & Carlsen = B ). Anand has yet to win a game, this might be all but over.
Well Anand has to win consecutively to stay in it, so it is pretty much all over.
--- Thanks for the post BorgQueen.
I must say that I'm a bit surprised at the way things are going, I expected a tougher match from Anand on his home turf.
Its over. Carlsen won
Thanks for the post Harryz.
Yes Game 10 went to Carlsen also, making the score 6.5 for him vs 3.5 for Anand . Thus effective November 22cnd, 2013 Carlsen has become the 16th World Champion. One could call this an early birthday present as he will be 23 in eight days ( Long may he reign ! ).
Game 10 actually ended in a draw, but that was all Carlsen needed to win.
Thanks for the info Harryz, I often get off on the wrong track lol.

yes i like Carlsen, i hope he will do alot of good for chess :)
this is a drawing of the worldchampion, i made some time ago

I see that some interesting questions have just been brought up in the theads here. One asks: how long will Carlsen be World Champ ( only time will tell ) . Another person asks: Who wil be the challenger in a couple of years when Carlsen will be defending the WCC title ? Well " Chess Life " has mentioned that 2 of the 8 seats in the next Candidates tournament have been given out so far: A) Vladimir Kramnik and B) Dinitry Andreikin.
" Magnus Is Not As Good As People Think " is a new tread that is on the go here now. However that does not matter at all because he is World Champ. Even if he were to lose the title when he has to defend it in a couple of years his name is on the list of people who have been World Champion.
Nine moves took care of Mr.Gates. Needles to say Mr.Gates is very good at business matters and at improving computers but not that good at Chess ( hey maybe he could visit my thread for people with average IQ ? ).
I have just received the Febuary issue of " Chess Life " and not surprisingly Magnus Carlsen is on the cover ( the headline reads: The Carlsen Era Begins ). Indeed. A 10 page feature article is inside ths issue and several games are covered ( games 3, 5 & 9 ).
Carlsen passed 2800 rating at 18 YEARS and 11 months. He is a clear cut ahead of the current generation's prodigies such as Caruana but they will still compete with him and push him to his limits.
Well it seems that the Chess World has survived having Carlsen as the new World Champ for some some weeks now. Some negative type of people were not happy with the young fellow beating Anand but Carlsen is doing okay so far.
Also Carlsen is still moving ahead with his rating. I gather that the new list put out on the FIDE website lists him at 2881 ( a new record ). Some people in these forms have asked the question: Will Carlsen be able to reach the 3000 rating level ? Well he is not there yet of course but he keeps inching closer and closer and closer ...
I see that we have a thread on the go here now entitled " Who Will Stop The Magnus Carlsen Express ? ". An interesting question. He has only been World Champ for a few months and probably is not ready to retire yet lol. Indeed Carlsen could be WC for just a couple of years or perhaps even for a couple of decades.
There is thread on the go here entitled " Kramnik is stronger than Magnus ". That begs the question: WHO is the current World Champion ???
The question arises: Will Carlsen remain World Champ by default ? April 30th was the last day for bids to host the Carlsen - Anand re-match but no bids were received. One might have expected a bid perhaps from one of the big Casinos in Las Vegas or even some rich person say over in China, no such luck. Had I won a big Lottery prize I could have put in a bid myself lol.
Game 7 is a draw after 32 moves ( Anand = W & Carlsen = B ).
