Garry Kasparov just to see him beat the crap out of Alekhine ANYDAY
If you could meet ANY world chess champion which one would it be and why?
Mikhail Nekhemievich is my favourite and the prefered , not because he was a stunning and amazing attacker and the greatest combination player, but also for his soul! he was so kind , beloved, modest and could talk to you hours about chess and women(lol!) even you don t know him! he was happy when someone want to play vs him, look at his modesty, how the hell can you find a world champion asking you to play Blitz games vs him in his hospital bed, even if you are beginner or novice ?? just give me someone from the famous (and unknown) players nowadays! i dare you to find someone like Tal!

WHOA WHOA WHOA. First off, Kasporov would get the stuffing beat out of him by Alekhine, Second off Tal is my second favorite, but I favor Alekhine, because he had such excellent opponents such as Euwe, Lasker, Capablanca, Marshall, Tarrasch. NOT saying that Tal didnt have great opponents, but this is a matter of personal opinion. Oh and Susan Polgar doesnt count, try again. Im talking about a REAL world champion. And about Kasparov, does anyone remember when someone flew a radio control helicoptor into one of his press conferences with a fake penis attached to it and smacked him in the face with it? I do, and im glad it happened!

I would go for Robert Fischer or Garry Kasparov any day. The reason I would play either one of them is because it will be fun to see how fast they can whoop my butt. : D I bet I can last 20-30 moves before they have wiped out all of my pieces and left my King in a corner to cry and beg for mercy.
ADK
I gotta say my favorite ... Mikhail Tal. Sure, there have been others with higher chessmetrics ratings (like Capablanca, etc) but Tal would have been the most fun to play.
Imagine, Tal comes up to the board, the guy's got only one kidney, he's half drunk, puffs up clouds of smoke as he's playing, stares at you as if he's trying to hypnotize you, confuses you with his seemingly-crazy sacrifices (is he preparing to give up his queen?) and then just when you think it couldn't get any more bizarre , checkmates you in no time.
No wonder he had a reputation for leaving even seasoned GMs scratching their heads in disbelief and amazement after playing him. Most GMs would simply beat you and leave it at that, but losing to Tal left many GMs with a headache ..."How did he do that? I was sure I had him, my position was at least equal if not superior to him and he just conjures up an attack/sacrifice out of nowhere and defeats me!" This is the feeling that many opponents felt after facing him.
Favorite Tal quote - " I drink, I smoke, I chase girls, but postal chess is one vice I don't have." :)
So, there you have it. Gotta love the guy.
Wilhelm Steinitz. From his writing, he seems an exceptionally witty man.
Lasker would take second place, also a very interesting thinker.

I´d hang out with Steinitz if they could give him some modern medicination, I wouldn´t go near him during his crazy period without some proper medicination.

Paul Morphy!!
I would love a chance to seek his insight into the game.
If anybody ever understood he nature of the game, it was that man!

Kasparov - just because he seems like a great guy. I definetely wouldn't want to meet Fischer. One of the Polgar sisters said she got to meet Fischer and she wished she hadn't. None of the Polgars are world champions so they can't make this list. I would also love to meet Capablanca. Of the non-world champions, I would love to meet Victor Korchnoi and Bent Larsen.
For example, I would choose Alekhine. I would want to play against him, and have him give me hints on how he conjured up such amazing attacks against others with equal ratings. He was also a very eccentric person, and he drank to, so i would probably have gone drinking with him. LoL, he would beat the crap out of Kasparov ANYDAY... So you all know.
