If the only player in the world who gives Aronian any trouble is Carlsen, I'd say he's doing pretty well. Best part is, he doesn't lose many rating points when he loses to Magnus.
I bet after Aronian losing to Carlsen tommorow, he will become depressed and start losing to 2500/2600s like Kramnik. I wont be surprised if he almost drops out of the top 10.

If everyone became depressed after losing to Carlsen, well, I feel for Caruana.
Everyone for at least at one point has been labeled overrated . There always need to be a base standard to compare against, over-rated in what sense? Maybe all the contenders are overrated, Carlson runs the show. If by show casing his talent and tenacity he is over rated thus capturing peoples admiration the sure, overrated.

When two FIDE masters ( FM. nobodyreally and FM MarkoMakaj) disagree with you, maybe you should consider that you don't know what are you talking about. You are not qualify to know who is number two. You don't know how hard it is to become a FIDE master or even a GM; GM Aronian deserve his place to be the second strongest player.
If you get to the candidates, you're nobody's punching bag.
