Maybe Aronian is AND isn't overrated. He seems to lose to inferior opponents all the time(lost to 32 overall in World Cup, finished near the middle in 2013 and 2014 Candidates Tourneys, lost in first round of Candidates.) However, low players barely increase your rating, and he has consistantly been at the top for a while. Think of him as a Tony Romo who does well in normal situations but chokes in big games:)
