You are asking about newbs, but "n00bs" is the title of this thread. Therefore, I will give you my brief opinion on both. Newbs are perfectly fine and usually become non-newbs after some time, but n00bs are unacceptable. The population growth rate of n00bs must be decreased. If the n00bs become predominent on this site, non-n00bs may have to flee and go elsewhere.

But where? There is nowhere for us to run. And how do we get rid of n00bs? Boxing them up and shipping them to Antartica is not a viable option, and threatening them is considered unlawful in some countries.
By "elsewhere," I mean other chess sites that have not been infiltrated by them. Of course, I will probably not quit chess.com, but that is an option. The survival guide contains reasonable and possibly effective methods of dealing with n00bs.
What survival guide? I need one desperately. Since I don't play Live Chess much, my rating still dwells in the 800 zone! With the n00bs! Heeeeeelp!
