new accounts??

The number of new accounts is staggering.

If you play unrated, you can anticipate 3 out of 5 games being matched up to an account less than 2 months old with a record of 3-0 and wildly inaccurate rating playing sometimes 99% accuracy.

Can we clean this site up and ban these losers?

Your a monster, when you first created this acc, you were new too! Would you like it if you suddenly got banned just because some random untitled player said to ban you? Sheesh

Neo is right.
And I just want to add that people log out all the time and if no one is allowed to make a new account, Chess.com will eventually have no members!
Or there will be too few members!

Please use the report button if you come across an account that seems questionable to you. Public accusations made against other players are not allowed and will be removed.

If I had the power to ban users, this site would become more legit.

It is obvious to me when I run across an account that is a fraud. People get stuck on a rating (which is completely normal and fine). However, some brilliant players choose to create ANOTHER account, sometimes multiple additional accounts, cheat to win the first few games to get a high rating, and then just play unrated the rest of the way with occasional computer assistance to troll high rated players. There is no rule against using an engine in unrated games. These accounts think they are untouchable. I usually just block them and move on. But more and more I am seeing these fraudulent accounts almost on a daily basis when I play unrated games. If you're playing unrated, expect 3 out of 5 games to be paired up against a cheater. I'm not against new accounts. I am against players creating multiple accounts to cheat. If you don't believe me that this is happening, then you are being naive.

Previously it was permitted to use an engine in unrated games. However, that was changed some time ago. Therefore, using an engine in unrated games is indeed a fair play violation.

Yes, some people do create multiple accounts, which is also against chess.com's TOS and will lead to account closure.

As you can read in the following, chess.com is closing lots of accounts every month, and using the proper reporting tools helps the team to do their work more efficiently.

It’s good that people make new accounts because that the owner of chess.com gonna get more money and when the owner gets more money, he gonna make lower prizes of memberships and hopefully lower prices to have chess.com!
