um... hmmm. I don't even know what to say to this.
This is like eating spicy food, then complaining that your mouth burns.

...and then you don't hear from them for a day and a half, so it takes weeks to play the game. They really REALLY hack me off!!! Feel better now that's off my chest .
Then set the time to 1 day per move. and problem solved. If your opponent doesen't move in 24 hours then they simply lose. As a bonus ppl that play 1 day per move usually dont take a whole day to make a move so your probably going to be playing faster than 1 day per move. Good luck to you.

It sounds like live chess might suit your preferred pace of play a little better. You're opponent's only obliged to move as often as the agreed upon time control dictates so there's really no justifiable reason to complain.
What an unsympathetic bunch YOU are!!! . Prize for top answer DEFINATELY goes to AnthonyCG of Washington DC. Thanks for taking the time, guys.
When you sign up for a game with the time control of one move every 3 days (or longer), you should realize that you are joining a group of players that makes a move about every 1-3 days. The nature of the beast, as they say. Many of us have 30 or more games going simultaneously, and enjoy the time to reflect on the positions presented and try to find a good plan of play, not just the next move.
If this rate of play doesn't suit your taste, then don't sign up for this time control. Instead, seek out a game with a shorter time control as mentioned earlier in the thread as you are more likely to find players who will play at a rate more in keeping with your preferences. It is not the fault of your opponent as they are simply playing at the agreed upon time limit. Hopefully you didn't burn any bridges by making an unfortunate comment to your opponent!
