Stalling and quitting games

Why some players quit the game when there queen gets captured and they are near to be checkmated

Because they're insecure, frustrated, coward, bitter, losers, who can't handle being outsmarted in a meaningless online game by someone with similar rating, so in order to make themselves feel better they stall and let the clock run out because at this point the only thing they can do is annoy you. They're just overcompensating. As mentioned above, just report them

I'm reporting [edited] for stalling.  He let his time run out and somehow wasn't

given a lost after that.

If I am having a hard game, I may use quite a bit of my 3 days to go back to it a few times (I play three day games). I generally make a move per game per day absolubte minimum. Three day games are great for people like me, I am often heavily medicated due to illness and it gives me time to clear my head. I dont see the point in letting the clock run out, if you are clearly beaten take it on the chin and be a good sport.. I have two fourteen day games going, I wont make that mistake again, for me it is to long, but who knows their situation? They may be working away from home for 10-12 days at a time.
