Just avoid reading people's messages or, if you read it, do not reply. It's better than having someone moderate and report chats. People who insult others, particularly in chess, are immature. They write stuff specifically because they want to piss you off. Best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them.
A clever way or responding (which by the way I've yet to experiment with) is to pretend that you don't speak the English language and that you're under the impression, regardless of what they say, that they are being complementary. Try it out next time :)
