Just like MC had a rough stretch this year, it is to be expected for a 16 year old. In case anyone forget, he is a 2700 16 year old.
Wei Yi is on the rise
study astrology. Wei Yi is going thru a bad time because of saturn.
The champion chess players are fire signs, carlsen, anand.

Funny you should say that. Wei Yi is an Earth Rabbit. So Saturn is probably opposing the Earth for some reason and weirding him out.
Rabbits tend to get dry skin, so my suggestion to him is to drink alotta HtwoO or tea. Tea is okay. And consume his carrots....they'll help him see good moves.
If he lit a match he'd probably burn his finger. So fire is kind of a no-no for him. And that's another reason why water is so important to him.
That all said ?....he will be hard to catch as you chase him around the chessboard. But if you catch him ?...you'll get a warm & fuzzy feeling........
"Wei Yi is an Earth Rabbit"
Rabbit is the way to go, three World Champions in a row were rabbits recently, Karpov (1951), Kasparov (1963), Kramnik (1975). And then there is the allegedly biggest threat to Sauron born 1987. And then Wei Yi born 1999.

Thats hardly deep. It sounds as if you have learnt that meme from an American.
Chess is a game of skill and has nothing to do with where the stars/planets are. Thats just uninformed superstition.

No sense of humor at all.

He'll be playing in the TaTa tournment starting in about 2 weeks, that'll be a good event for him against elite players. About hitting slow spots as an improving player. All players go through that. Sam Sevian is a good example. He's broken every rating record & title record here in the U.S. as it relates to age but he's been in the mid to upper 2500s for a long while now but that doesn't mean he's reached his potential. I remember Magnus hitting that wall, but then just cruised right on past it. & Wei Yi, he'll snap out of this mediocre Qatar performance & start climbing the rankings again. But how far?
Wow, he won a game. Against a girl https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandra_Goryachkina
He just might get under 2700 at the end of the tournament.
It looks like Aleksandra is a talent.
Maybe he`ll get down to 2600.LOL
