Who is the Most Influential Chess Player?

I'm not sure myself, as I don't know much history, but I assume anything who has a famous opening named after them must be pretty influential. So I'd say Akiba Rubenstein.

Who is the most influential chess player? Not necessarily the best, or most famous, but the one who had the largest impact in changing the course of chess history. What do you guys think?
