Good question, mabye he is having a bad tournament.
Why is Daniel Naroditsky playing so badly at the U.S Championship?

As of now, Daniel Naroditsky, chess.com's columnist, has only 1.5/8. Why?
He is experiencing what all player experience...a bad tournament.
Everyone is doing poorly. So has lost 3, Nakamura is barely leading the pack, Sevian beat So but lost to Gareev? We barely see any Akobian games in the broadcast. Onischuk is pulling a Karjakin draw streak (other than the win he had).

Bad tournaments happen sometimes and I think he's being a little too hard on himself despite the circumstances. At any rate he'll bounce back soon enough. He probably just needs to figure some things out.

He will bounce back soon. He has been playing a lot lately. Take a month or two off to rest and study.

Maybe he has been playing too much?
@RyanMurphy5 and chessmicky, this is exactly my question: Why is he off form. Why do bad tournaments happen?

It's just a tough field. This isn't some regular open tournament.
He still should have won some games according to ratings.

Because he wasn't making good moves.
At the end of the day, if you want to have a good tournament, you have to find some way to make good moves. There's just no two ways about it....

Or maybe he isn't good player at all. Who is Daniel Naroditsky? I see the name for the first time.

Everyone has bad tournaments. They really suck. I got 1.5/7 at the Philadelphia Open. I have regained most of the points back, so it wasn't that I was that overrated I don't think, but I just played really badly for seven games. Naroditsky might just be having a rough couple of weeks.

He is a 2600 who plays in the U.S championships he is pretty young.
I know how google works, thanks. My question was mere rhetorical.
