If there are only 2 players left and one of them is with with at least 21 points higher than the other, the winning one can just resign (the resign button turns to an autoclaim button in this scenario) and give the opponent 20 points which can't help him reach the winning player.
4-player Chess "Autoclaim" question

it's an annoying feature imo because it prevents people from getting more points after even if they would most likely have accomplished this. it might have been implemented to try and deal with people teaming and having one player help the other get 2nd after working together, but i hate it sinc e alot of players' mistake is trading too much in 4 player games, and often enough ill be cheated out of a 2nd or even first
Hi all - I'm new to 4-player chess and trying to figure this out one (see image below). Yellow won on the next turn by "Autoclaim". I was reading about autoclaim, and it seems like it is meant to "protect" a checkmated player who is in second place by points, but only if they're up by 20+ points. In this case, Green is in 2nd place by 4 pts, but autoclaim kicked in, preventing Blue from having a chance to try for the 1st or 2nd place win.
Anyone know what's going on? I pasted the PGN below the image too, if it helps. TIA!
