4 player chess starting position

Hi,
I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere else so I'm wondering if I've just gone mad, but didn't the starting position for 4 player chess use to be different. Didn't all players start with their king on the light square? Now Blue and Green seem to start with their King on the dark square. This seems to completely change opening strategy and I'm wondering why this happened?
Anybody else noticed this? Are my settings just wrong?
