this looks familiar and interesting
I might be able to try it some time
the move diagrams look great!
Thank you. I put a lot of time into it. I will add an upload to a winboard program HGMuller made me to run it with all the rules/moves here soon

Well, well. Look who finally returned after 2/3's a year, looking for the same tiring trouble.
You have no idea what you are talking about BattleChessGN18. (In fact, I do; and, you've more than proven me right time and again..) Look at you project your own thoughts and desires on to me. Grow up.
You came back after months of absence just to spew some platitudinous, threadbare, childish ad hominem diatribes (in exactly the way I predicted you would), and you tell me to grow up?
It's okay, Sweetie. I'll let you feel big for just a moment in time. ***pats head***
All because you wanted me to add your piece to it and I told you they do not fit.
Tell me when I ever asked you this. Remind me exactly when we ever had this exchange...
You're really good at dodging, manipulating and simply lying, aren't you?
I'll bet your comeback response is that I said it and then deleted it. Right??

I don't know if there's some past beef between you guys where OP was belittling you and I don't like how either party has handled the progression of such regardless.
That said. This is beautiful if only for artistic value. I'd love to see how it plays sometime if there is a publicly available way to run it.
I don't have a 1(69 lol) iq but I am 2100 in rapid so hopefully my tiny brain can remember how the pieces move xD.
Anyway love the project.
@Ace569er
Honestly, Erik. You're a 35+ year-old man. I'm a gal 10 years your junior. I "don't matter" to you. Your words. Remember? So, pat it off your shoulders. Life moves on. And, if your variant has attracted many players to you like you said it did, all the more power to you. Stop worrying about what I think, and stop looking for an argument. The worst thing you can do to make yourself look immature is to boast with bravado over a chess game that most people wouldn't mainly care about, just to insult someone's maturity when he/she calls you out on it.
Post one or a few actual recorded games on here. Show people that your game means something; not shout it.
Good job on the IQ test tho. I would go to University and get tested for real if you can score that high. Still You attacked most of what i said with assumption and I pointed that out in fine detail.
now i guess i will read what you wrote fully, rather than skim over it. Tho I can tell you are emotional and that it typically hard to do in text. Oh and yeah I forget about this site. Been playing Ark, Elden Ring, about to hopefully start a political YouTube channel soon. Just been busy. I forget to check this site until i use my email for something and see the notices to be completely honest. Now let's see what you wrote ![]()
Yeah I named them different so my pieces could have names that went A-Z. I guess I could get that bugging some players. Yet that is fully subjective not objective, but yes I did change them. Mainly just for the A-Z and some I just did not like the old name, or I added a close range move etc for like the zebra and camel. I made most the long range fairy pieces also move as a close range Wazir and Ferz. While using the wazir and ferz move to seperate the types and make it all have a pattern.
Most the other comment where you ranting which make you look bad as well. My olny mean point was a direct rebuttal to what you said and I was rather objective and not subjective in doing it as well. The huge difference. While I also addressed everything you originally said sentance by sentence to do so. A direct proper rebuttal. You were emotional and more subjective than objective again. While I also at no point let this bother me or get emotional as you do. Sorry to trigger you, yet again you attacked me first as well mind you. I am just good at forming a rebuttal.
So not much to comment or respond to in those ranting comments so we will just stick to the one with context.
You are a bit creepy and crazy...
Oh, because I pointed out your much older age?
Sounds like someone's acting a bit on "emotions" here.

See, why do you (still) care about something so trivial like that? Brush it off, Mr. I-Ain't-Emotionalzz-Like-You'zz.
my take on this
TLDR: too complicated for you to learn how to get good at it by studying. Meaning you have to suffer for hundreds of hours before even getting how the pieces move intuitively...
Watching two people argue who are both kinda dumb is really funny
Dude, just don't. Don't fan "dumbness" with immaturity**.
**You literally revived a dead thread two months later, just to bait a bicker.

The basic common language of what everyone (including me) has been trying to tell him^^^^
Lol wherever these two kids meet, they start trashing each other with walls of text. That's comedy right there. I really like the entire story.
Meet irl that would be funny.

Like I said, dumb threads full of dumb child's play begets dumb responses full of child's play. Notice that it only happens in Ace569er's threads, of all people on chess.com.
That aside, I should point out that this thread was dead for nearly two weeks, before you decided (for what loosely seemed like trouble) to revive it. Surely, you had better things to do than to comment on "two kids trashing each other with walls of text"?
I decided to try my hand at a game of similar complexity. But I did not think the holes in the board really add much, so I used a conventional 14x14 board, and packed the 56 pieces in the first 4 ranks:

The pieces are mostly orthodox or commonly used fairy pieces, such as the RN and BN compounds, the Elephant, the Omega Chess Champion, the Xiangqi Cannon and its diagonal counterpart, Camel and Zebra ((3,1) and (3,2) leapers), the Crowned Rook and Bishop from Shogi. I also added two bent sliders (Griffon and Rhino), which make one step and then turn a 45-degree corner to slide further.
I did include some special features to shorten the average game length, as games of this size easily get tedious and boring after the strongest pieces get traded. One of these is 'flying pieces': the Eagle, Raven and Bat are a Queen, Rook and Bishop that can jump over arbitrary many pieces for capturing. That means checkmates (especially smothered mates) are possible even while the King is still shielded by several ranks of normal pieces, so that you don't have to trade away 80% of the pieces first. The flying pieces cannot fly over each other, or over an Archer, though, so these can give the King some shielding.
Then there is a super-strong piece (the Terror, depicted here as dragon), which is subject to an anti-trading rule (they cannot capture each other when protected), and is able to destroy protected pieces with a hit-and-run capture. When the players eleminate each other's slow pieces with the Terror, these slow pieces do not have to cross the board to be traded for each other. Which is also a time saver.
A nice touch is that there are some enhanced Pawns in the wings of the 2nd rank, which can be used as a conventional King shield after castling; the ordinary Pawns start too much forward to provide any protection for the King. A double wall of Pawns as shelter is no luxery in the presence of Cannons, which would jump over a single wall.
so this looks like you ve spent a lot of time on this variant, hmm.... where can i play this? cant you create a page or an app for playing games like this?
Yes I have a winboard program that HGMuller made me. It runs all the rules of the game. Tho you will need a high resolution screen to fit a 16x16 tile board on screen. I will find a new upload site I can add it to.
