A new chess variant

Sort:
ukrainiandude

This variant only affects the time control, but here it is:

You have for example 5 seconds for every move.

If you make your move in 2 seconds then you have the reamaining 3 seconds plus 5 more seconds, so you have 8 seconds to make your move

If it took you 6 seconds to make that move then you will have 2 plus 5 seconds for your next move, etc

Please tell me if you like this and/or if you want to make improvements to it

muiz95

ya great, but how would you make it?

This is what they call "hour-glass TC", isn't it? You use an hour glass with a certain duration (10 sec in the example), divide the sand evenly for the beginning of the game, and then flip it every time you move. If the sand runs out during your turn, you forfeit.

It is not that, since you take the remainer seconds on the next move, thus it is 0|5
