The following game is a variant of aozora chu shogi, to be played with drops, between @KaijiAUT and dax00.

Chu Shogi rules: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chu_shogi

Correspondence chess rules: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess960-chess-variants/correspondence-chess-rules-for-variant-chess-proposal

This game shall be played by the rules of normal chu shogi, except for the following clarifications and/or differences:

  1. Drops. A player who captures a piece takes the captured piece "in hand", whereupon it may on a later turn be dropped onto any vacant square on the board, as a move. If a promoted piece is captured, it reverts to its unpromoted form before being taken in hand. A player must not drop a pawn onto a file, on which he already has an unpromoted pawn. A king can only be dropped within a player's own territory (4 ranks).
  2. Promotion. In addition to normal chu shogi promotion, any piece can promote moving onto, within, or from the 12th rank.
  3. Repetition. If a position occurs on the board for a fourth time, with same player to move, the game is drawn. It is forbidden to repeat a position (even once) where a king or prince is attacked; the player to repeat such an attack loses the game.
  4. Lion rules. The Okazaki rule, which allows immediate capture of an undefended lion, is not in effect.
  5. Impasse (持将棋). If both players have at least one royal in enemy territory (double entering kings, 相入玉), the players may agree to counting points. Points are awarded for pieces (on board or in hand) as follows, in their current form: 6 for 獅、奔、鷹、鷲; 5 for 牛、猪; 4 for 竜、馬、鯨、白; 3 for 竪、横、鹿、ちょろ角、反、香、麒、鳳; 2 for 豹、虎、象、金、銅; 1 for 仲、歩. No points are awarded for king or prince. If both players have 76+ points, the game is drawn. If a player has fewer than 76 points, he loses the game. If either player does not agree to counting, a player may before his move unilaterally declare for a count if he meets all the following conditions: a) has 92+ points in material; b) has 12+ pieces in enemy territory; c) all royals of both players in enemy territory or player to declare has more royals in enemy territory than opponent (not 1 vs 0).
  6. Win condition. Try rule - as an alternative to winning on impasse or capturing all enemy royals, a player can win by moving his king (not prince) to the enemy king's initial square.

We can start another game of regular chu shogi, if you like. I can blitz out moves for normal chu shogi, but this variant requires much more thought for me.

KaijiAUT

9九馬

No problem. Let's play a standart Chu shogi after this game. More than two games online is to much for me

My sharpness starts to drop off after 4 or 5 chu shogi games at once.

5十竜成

If 同馬 or 同奔, then 8十竜成

Notation for drops is no different from normal moves, unless ambiguous. So that's just 10七竜.
