Bulldog Chess Ratings
If I play someone rated 1248 or lower, then I get 1 rating point for a win and lose 99 rating points for a loss.
They really bombarding you with questions Martin.
It's nice to get questions ![]()
It would feel worse to spend time on these stats if no one seemed to care about them.
but, if someone had an engine, would they be punished now?
seeing as the rule has not been passed.
if so, what would be the process to pass a rule against the use of engines?
Engines are not allowed for rated games. Rule #2 says this:
"2. You may not use computer programs or endgame tablebases unless you and your opponent have agreed to prior to the game."
You can see all the Correspondence Chess Rules (here).
Btw, if someone makes a strong engine that can win against the best players (bulldog with witch), we might have to switch to different variant pieces. It hasn't been discussed much, but I hope bulldog games don't get ruined by engines (or people trying to cheat).![]()
Someone has to change that soon
