K(4,1)
Chess on an Infinite Plane (ChessNerd1836 - captaintugwash)

Vick will post a board to confirm but that's a smothered mate with just the chancellor. 26. K(6,1) wasn't good enough to save you,, I think you need to bring your queen into the defence, perhaps Q(5,-19). R(5,0)+ was coming so you have to react to that threat, but you simply walked into a different mating net. You put some good early pressure in the centre, I had to be careful and keep a close eye on your hawks. I liked my rook on (-4,5).

Good game by both. I really enjoyed watching it. I think ChessNerd1836's symmetrical development was very intriguing. (detail below).
Unfortunately for Nerd I've seen that captaintugwash has become very skilled with his flank attacks. (I believe McGoohan calls them "backyard" attacks).
This is White's development at move 14. Although it didn't win the game, I think it looks very formidable.😨
Congratulations to Tug for the win!😀

It's interesting that I have just two pawns and two knights, along with the rook on the flank, to counter white's massive central control. I think white overreaches himself, he invests too much in the centre. Even with the massive control he had, I was still able to maneuver my hawk and pick up material, and then take advantage of the lack of defensive resources white has behind the king.
White should not allow black to take control of the 0th rank, I would defend against that with everything I had. I think white's opening is much better if the chancellors are not developed to the centre and instead are deployed on the flanks, and at least one rook deployed quickly to the 0th rank.
Thanks for modding Vick.
